1. Information We Process
When you interact with our calculators, you submit course information (such as optional course labels, credit values, and letter grades) or numeric scores (GPA/CGPA). This information is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server-side PHP endpoint solely to calculate and return the mathematical results.
2. How Calculator Data Is Handled
In accordance with our privacy-first philosophy:
- No Database Storage: We do not operate a database for storing user-submitted course lists, marks, grades, or calculation outcomes.
- In-Memory Processing: Submitted credit and grade arrays are processed in volatile server memory during the request lifecycle and discarded immediately upon response generation.
- No Identity Association: We never prompt for student registration numbers, VTOP usernames, passwords, or personal identifying credentials.
3. Server Logs & Security Headers
Standard server access logs (recording IP address, user-agent, and requested path) may be maintained temporarily by our hosting infrastructure strictly for operational reliability, DDoS prevention, and rate-limiting. These logs do not capture course-level calculator payloads.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
Our website uses a temporary, secure PHP session cookie (_vit_csrf_token) for the sole purpose of Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection on form submissions. We do not set tracking, marketing, or advertising cookies.
5. Third-Party Services
We load web typography (Sora and JetBrains Mono) from Google Fonts via privacy-friendly CDN links. We do not embed third-party analytics trackers, social media tracking pixels, or external ad scripts that monitor student browsing behavior.
6. Contact Inquiries
If you choose to submit an inquiry through our Contact Us page, the name, email address, and message content you provide are used strictly to reply to your inquiry and are never sold or shared with outside marketing entities.
